MOMO PARADISE STEAMBOAT

This is our 3rd and final stop for our food bloggie experience :)

This 3rd stop is to MOMO PARADISE STEAMBOAT.
Steamboat might sound normal, but this steamboat restaurant is different.

Name: Momo Paradise Steamboat Buffet Restaurant
Address: 53 Jalan 5/62a, Taman Manjalara, 52200 Kuala Lumpur, Wilayah Persekutuan Kuala Lumpur

Yes, you saw it right it's a steamboat restaurant. The price is within a good range. RM 28 per pax, and you can eat all you want! :D
The environment of the place is very comfy. The restaurant has two floors. The first thing you see when you walk in, is the rotating palates in the middle of the restaurant, where you can select the ingredients of your choice. You can actually sit around the rotating palate is sushi restaurants. What is different of this steamboat is that you don't share the pot of food. you'll get your own individual pots.

Like This:

Individual pots and heat control

They serve 3 different kind of soup, they have normal clear soup, tomyam and seafood. Choose the soup of your choice. So, after you have gotten your soup, fix your heat up and let it boil, while waiting for the soup to boil you can go get whatever ingredient in the food corner to STEAMBOAT-AWAY! :D

There a variety of ingredient you can select, from  fresh seafoods to beef and pork slices(freshly sliced), and to noodles, to typical steamboat ingredients and even their popular CHEESE TOFU. They even have quail egg(small eggs), and even century quail eggs. For people that love their vegetables, they do provide a variety of vegetables, so don't worry bout imbalanced diet :)

MoMo steamboat has a variety of 15 different sauces to choose from too!
Orange sauce??

So, want to enjoy a comfortable place for steamboat?? MoMo Paradise is a good place to have that, you don't have to sweat of your plates, bacause MoMo is also air-conditioned :D
Highly recommended place for a steamboat feast!! And just eat till you drop, 'cause it's a BUFFET!

Hope you have enjoyed our little food expedition :) BYE :)

BAK KU TEH

Our second stop is to a very different kind of Bak Ku Teh. :)

The particular Bak Ku Teh is not from the very famous spot for Bak Ku Teh like Klang, but this foodie stop is actually at Kelana Jaya, down straight from the Kelana Jaya LRT Station

 Name: 一心阁 Yi Xin Ge
Address: No 23, jalan SS4D/2,
             Taman People's Park,
             Petaling Jaya,
             Selangor.
An old school shop sigh

This Bak Ku Teh as mention, is a Hakka Bak Ku Teh. When you see the shop itself, you can actually feel a kind of vibe from it, its like you in a coffee shop from the late 50s. Not just the shop sign is old school but also the setting inside, very "uncle auntie" type of shop. :)
So with this shop, people will think that is not the kind of place young people will want to eat, but no from what was found on the internet lots of young people actually liked it. Most of their comments say that this shop's Bak Ku Teh is very unique.

Shop Outlook:

Inside of the shop

Newspaper Articles
This shop is so popular that it has newspaper articles about it. Which is prove that this Bak Ku Teh is THAT good! :D If you notice there is an article in Japanese writing on it, this shop was also feature in a Japanese food magazine.

Lets Get On With The Food:
we just ordered 3 items :)
As the picture shown, we ordered 3 items.
1st: Tofu skin with soup
2nd: pork rib bak ku teh
3rd: pork meat bak ku teh
Along with rice and some Chinese tea.

Well, as you can see, the soup of the Bak Ku Teh is not the typical dark color, it's because this Bak   Ku Teh is made purely from Chinese herbs. The soup looked like any normal soup but also had that herbal scent that everyone looks for in bakuteh soup. Not saying other Bak Ku Tehs are not using herbs but this shop's specialty is the soup, is so herbs tasting, but not overwhelming. And which the taste is different and unique :D
Believe us, this soup is very delicious. It's those kind of food that you won't get bored of. As we consumed the the three broths, the taste of the soup was just simply delicious. Every mouth full of the broth filled our taste buds with herbal scent which was just right. We really highly recommend this Bak Ku Teh shop.

If your the kind who love the HERBAL-LIOUS taste of Bak Ku Teh, then try this YI XIN GE Bak  Ku Teh. promise you'll love it :D

Please look forward for our 3rd and last post :)
Thank You :)

T-BOWL :D

Hi :) Welcome to the FEED ME NOW blog!

So this is gonna be the 1st post for the blog assignment! :D After a short meeting on where we wanted to go for our 1st location, we decided that we go to this concept based restaurant at Sunway Pyramid called T-Bowl.

The whole idea of this restaurant is based on a TOILET concept. Yes..it's true..toilet!
It might sound weird and disgusting but it’s actually quite interesting.  The tables are actually sinks with a glass on top of it. In the sink there is display of toiletries like toothbrush, toothpaste and so on.
Futhermore, most attention grabbing item in the restaurant is the seats. The seats are actually  real toilet bowls. The toilet bowls aren't just any normal and plain looking seats, they have designs on them, so that it looks attractive. And in the restaurant the walls are very well decorated, but not with cupboards or plain wallpapers , but with their signature Otaku cartoon characters. So,  which made the ambience lively and colourful.

Not only that, their menu is very attractivetoo.
So let us look at some pictures we took :D
Toilet seats as sitting seats ?!

The sink table. A glass is over it.

The next few pictures will be the attracting menus and the wall of T-Bowl concept restaurant.

                                                              THE MENU:

This is how you order, write down the code of the food on this paper

THE WALLS:

Filled with designs of the cartoon characters :)

So far so good as in the decoration and the settings in the restaurant. It does give out a very unique vibe to it's surroundings. When you hear people say toilet, you'll immediately think of the disgusting things, but not in T-Bowl restaurant!! :D

Now, lets take a looking in the food!
But before that, here is the list of what we ordered.
FOOD:
- Cheese Baked Chicken Rice with Mushrooms
- Cheese Baked Spaghetti with Prawn
- Spicy Hell Ramen (level 2,4,8)**
- Canton Pork Rib Rice

DRINKS:
- Blue Curacao Bubble Frappe Mocktail
- Oreo Blended
- Yam Blueberry Blended

DESSERT:
- Mango Sago
- Mix Fruit Delight
- Pear Fungus Syrup

Top Left: Oreo Blended
Top Right: Blue Mocktail *before mix*
Bottom Left: Yam Blueberry Blended
Bottom Right: Blue Mocktail *after mix*
Top Left: Cheese Baked Rice
 Top Middle: Pork Rib Rice
 Top Right: Cheese Baked Spaghetti
Try the Hell Ramen :D *bottom*
Blue Mocktail *real good* :D

THE DESSERTS:
Top Left / Bottom Right: Mix Fruit Delight
Top Right: Mango Sago
Bottom Left: Pear Fungus Syrup
So lets talk more bout the food.
As you can see in the pictures the foods are served in bowl that resemble toilet seat and sinks.
Overall the food is not bad :) We all enjoyed the food that we ordered:)
With the cheese baked rice and the cheese baked spaghetti, the cheese on it is very cheese tasting. It's not very overwhelming. Unlike other cheese baked foods, it won't make you feel too stuffy.
Lets move on to the pork rib rice, can say it's a very normal dish, not very unique, but very good tasting that what it is! :D

and so..

we have come to the ULTIMATE CHALLENGE!!
THE SPICY HELL RAMEN!! This Ramen comes in the level of 2, 4 and 8.
There is a reason why it's call HELL. It is literally very spicy...
It tastes very appetizing but BEWARE!!!
It is super super super spicy! The level we ordered is Level 4. But initially we wanted to order Level 8 but decided to play safe. From the looks of it, it did't seem much spicy, but once it enters your month and down your throat, you'll know IMMEDIATELY why is it called SPICY HELL RAMEN!

Lets take a look at Hock Seng who took on the Spicy Hell Ramen: Level 4

When Hock Seng was eating this bad baby, his hand was shaking. It's the 1st time I've seen a person eat something till their hands shake! That ramen is that...that...that...WOW O.O

TRY IT IF YOU DARE!!! *muahahahahaha*

Lets move on to our drinks and desserts shall we ?! :)

As you can see in the pictures, we order this very interesting drinks like: Oreo, Yam and blueberry. That two drinks are actually ice blended drinks, but the special one is the Blue Curacao Bubble Frappe Mocktail.
It's hard to describe what the drink is, to say something about it, it would be "refreshing".

The desserts we order are pretty normal. With the mango sago, the mango flavor in it is very strong, that what makes that dessert very nice :)
And with the Mix Fruit Delight is actually chocolate and vanilla ice-cream with mix fruits :)
The Pear Fungus Syrup is a hot dessert, its like those dessert you'll have during the end of a Chinese wedding dinner.

So now lets see what the others have to say bout this:

OOI JIN HOON:  The food at T-bowl restaurant is not what you would expect from a restaurant that is based on bathrooms with toilets for seats and tables that are made of glass which displays sinks with toiletries in it. It may sound grotesque to some but the restaurants setting is actually quite appealing and attractive. The foods at the restaurant is delicious and are served in bowls that resembles toilets and plates that resemble sinks. There is a variety of food which ranges from rice, noodles, western food to beverages accompanied by mouth-watering desserts which are decorated with fresh fruits and sweets. in my personal point of view, as we entered the restaurant, the restaurants theme was attractive and bright. As I was browsing the menu, I saw many delicious looking foods. I ordered a dish called canton pork rib rice which is a rice dish smothered with gravy served with sliced carrots, baby corns and snow peas. The dish arrived followed by a very fragrant smell that appealed greatly to my sense of smell. To drown the dish down, I ordered myself a Yam Blende, a beverage made of a fusion of blended yam and blueberry along with some actual blueberry fruits as toppings that was really refreshing. As for my dessert, I had a Pear Fungus Syrup. It is a sliced pears placed in hot syrup which is really good for those who are looking to calm their minds.

KEVIN LOW:  The food at T-Bowl was very delicious and the design of the food was very special and it look beautiful.
Such as they design the ice-cream to look like the shape of shit and it was very cute...
The menu that they supply also very special like hell noodle.
The feeling that eating in that restaurant is got a bit disappointed because they only design the ice-cream look like shit but other food was doesn't .
And the waiter didn't dress like in the toilet...

ANG HOCK SENG:  I ordered the most spicy ramen.I was so excited because I super like eat spicy food. When the food came in front of me,I saw the soup was so red and I felt scared at that time. When I ate the noodles,I felt my tongue was paralysis.I dropped tears while I wan eating. The environment in the restaurant was so weird because we like eating in the toilet.Although the food was so spicy, anyway it still nice.I felt want to go again the restaurant to challenge the ramen again.

BRENDA LOW: Well i actually like the whole concept of the restaurant :) its different and it's unique, you don't see these kind of restaurant often in Malaysia. So i think this restaurant is some what amazing!? haha. So i ordered the cheese baked rice, i like a lot. You don't really like get tired of it.. the taste was really good :)
If i were you, i'll go checj]k out this restaurant  :D and I CHALLENGE you to try the SPICY HELL RAMEN! :D
